First of all let’s start by saying Premio Lo Nuestro WAS FIRE!
The big winners of the night were Ozuna and Natti Natasha. Ozuna won 9 out of his 10 nominations and Natti Natasha won big, taking home 4 Premios!
Can we talk about the fact that Becky G and Natti Natasha co-wrote “Sin Pijama” together, winning Urban Collab of the Year and Urban Song of the Year! THEY WERE THE ONLY FEMALES NOMINATED AND THEY BEAT OUT ALL THE MEN: Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, J Balvin.
This is a HUGE achievement for Latina artist, especially in the genre of male dominate Reggaeton. Way to go chicas, hell yeah poderosas!
We are just going to jump straight into our favorite performances, starting with the “Latina Power” set including Thalia’s “No Me Acuerdo” featuring Natti Natasha and Lali Espósito
Next favorite was Maná. Everyone was on their feet singing every song! We can’t get enough of Maná, ever.
In an unexpected twist we LOVED the Alejandro Sanz and Nicky Jam remix of “Back In the City” The set, the color scheme, the sound…ON POINT.
OZUNA – CROSSOVER COLLAB WINNER “Taki Taki” – DJ Snake, Cardi B, Ozuna, Selena Gomez. This whole set was off the hook, the dancers killed.
J BALVIN WINS ARTIST OF THE YEAR! This was, hands down, the second best performance of the night. He is a creative visionary.
THE PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT! THIS WAS PURE FIRE! The Lifetime Achievement Award for 2019 goes to Daddy Yankee! All the artist came together to create this medley of his hits, honoring the Rey de Reggaeton. Afterwards J Balvin gives a heartwarming speech that had us all in our feels. This whole performance, all these ICONIC songs performed back to back, was just EPIC.
